Solar Energy and Sustainability

The April meeting of Roleystone Organic Growers is going to be a field day to learn more about solar energy, sustainability, water saving ideas, and how to leave a lighter footprint on the earth. We will visit Leslie and Adrian's home in Kelmscott and have a look at their passive solar designed home, photovoltaic solar panels powering their entire home, biomax water recycling, solar hot water system, raintanks, drought tolerant plants, and share ideas on how to be more energy and water efficient. Clean up Australia Day (updated with pictures)

A successful day was had, with over 50 bags of rubbish collected around the Bedfordale area. A big thanks to everyone who turned up and helped.

I received an update from Jacqui Thomas later on:

Hi Chris. We actually collected 78 bags of rubbish from the two sites and numerous tyres, cans, spades and other stuff. A good days work. - Regards Jacqui
