Well done to the residents of Bedfordale, we have had a quiet fire season so far in Bedfordale with only 5 small fires, most already controlled by you the residents by the time we arrived. Your vigilence in spotting and reporting these fires have been great. Keep up the good work and with luck we can continue this trend. Only one of these fires had a clear staring point with power lines down in carradine road, the rest were unknown so continue your vigilence.
The Brigade has been out of the area to some of the big fires, Parkerville early this month and Mandogalup - Thomas rd last month. The crews attending these reported many unprepared properties in both areas. They really need a good BRAG programme like we have in bedfordale to show them how to prepare their properties as we do here. We never send both of our vehicles to these fires, we always have one ready to go to your help if we have a call in Bedfordale. Keep up the good work and we will finish the season as quiet as we have started it. The product “ Killfire” is available at Armadale stock feeds, South West Hwy. We are still trialing the product successfully.
Date to remember Saturday 8th March - the Annual BBQ for Residents and Fire Brigade.
Anyone needing more info on the BRAG programme can ring me.
